The Bahrain 1/2 Dinar Banknote was issued by the Bahrain Monetary Agency in 1998 under the 1973 law. The banknote has a color combination of dark brown and violet. The obverse depicts the coat of arms with a brown shield. It also has a blind weaver at the loom in Bani Jamra Village Handicraft Centre. The reverse features the Aluminium Bahrain(Alba) smelter. The note contains a watermark that reveals an Arabian oryx (antelope) head. It also has a 1.8-mm wide windowed security thread with six 4.0-mm long windows. The banknote is 142 x 71 mm in size and bears a repeating serial number. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
