The Bahrain 5 Dinars is part of the 1973 - 1988 series of banknotes issued with slight changes from preceding designs. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition. Its obverse features the southwest tower of Riffa which is situated at the Sharqi fortress in Hunainiya valley. The national crest of Bahrain, a map, and a hologram are also visible on the front of the currency. The reverse depicts a jumbo jet and Boeing 747 flying over Bahrain International Airport nestled in Muharraq. The 142 x 71 mm paper banknote has a windowed security thread and a watermark showing an Arabian oryx head.
