The Bangladesh 2 Taka is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2012 to commemorate the 40th year of independence. The banknote comes in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. The obverse of the banknote depicts a portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who was known to be the Father of the Nation in Bangladesh. The National Martyrs Monument in Savar as well as the Coat of Arms which displays a shapla flower, rice, and jute is also visible on the banknotes front side. The reverse features flowers and the Shaheed Minar of the Language Movement in Dhaka. The paper bill which is 100 x 60 mm in size has a solid security thread and a watermark that consists of a portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and an electrotype 2.
