The Bangladesh 2 Taka Banknote from 2012 was issued to commemorate the countrys 40 years of independence. Its obverse side features a portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Martyrs Monument in Savar. The national emblem with shapla flower, rice, and jute is also added to the front design. Its reverse side features flowers, and the Shaheed Minar, a Martyrs monument of the Language Movement in Dhaka. The security features of the note include a solid security thread and a watermark image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and electrotype 2. The note is 100 x 60 mm in size.
