The Bangladesh 2 Taka is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2013 to commemorate the 40th year of independence. This banknote which comes in uncirculated condition is TAP authenticated. On the left of its obverse side is a portrait of the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and on its center is the National Martyrs Monument in Savar. The national emblem of Bangladesh depicting a shapla flower, rice, and jute is also shown on the upper right. The reverse of the banknote features the Shaheed Minar of the Language Movement located in Dhaka. The 100 x 60 mm paper bill has a solid security thread and a watermark which reflects Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and an electrotype 2.
