The Aruban florin was introduced by the Central Bank of Aruba in 1986 and was issued a new print in 2003 of the denominations 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500 with all banknotes receiving enhanced security features.
Each banknote was designed by Evelino Fingal since the 90’s and he was inspired by local tribal paintings and pottery. The reverse same geometric design on the reverse with varying colors depending on the denomination. On the obverse of each note are unique images of the local wildlife.
The 10 florin features a Conch and light blue design. A rattle snake in front of an orange pattern for the 25 florin. The 50 florin displays a borrowing owl with red background. On the 100 florin sits a frog with the appropriate green background. Lastly, on the 500 florin is a Red grouper with dark blue patterns.
