Austria's currency from 1925-1938 and 1945-1999 was the Austrian Schilling. They had 2 series made, one in 1925 that had denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 100 and 1,000. The second in 1945 that had denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100 and 1,000 schillings. Present day Austria uses Euro currency which was introduced in 1999. Along with the Euro, the Austrian Schilling is still in circulation as well. However, the official currency of Austria is the Euro.
