The Pitcairn Islands which is officially named Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie, and Oeno Islands is a collection of volcanic islands scattered in the Southern Pacific Ocean. The archipelago is the only British Overseas Territory in the Pacific Ocean and is the least populated national sovereignty in the world. The country endowed with marvelous flora, fauna, and sea-life, that attract many tourists. Additionally, it has a distinct Bounty and Polynesian heritage and enthralling history.
With limited access to the island and considering the size of its population that’s only about 50 inhabitants, the Pitcairn Islands is considered a nano-economy. As the country is most linked to New Zealand, it uses the New Zealand dollar as its legal tender. Though the Pitcairn Islands dollar exists, it was only introduced because of the coin collecting industry.
