The Barbados 20 Dollars is part of the family of notes issued in 2012 to commemorate the 40th year of the Central Bank of Barbados. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition. Its obverse features Samuel Jackman Prescod who was the first African to be chosen to the Barbados Parliament. The banknotes front also displays the Coat of Arms of Barbados, the 40th year anniversary logo, a trident, and a flying fish. On its reverse are the House of the Assembly buildings as well as careenage at Trafalgar Square in Bridgetown. The note also bears a pelican as its registration device. When held up to a light source, a map image, an electrotype Pride of Barbados flower, and Cornerstones would be visible on this 150 x 65 mm paper bill. Furthermore, the banknote has a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBB $20.
