The Belgium 100 Francs is part of the family of notes issued in 1995 with a pick number P-147a. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Centered on its obverse are seven masks and on its right is a portrait of expressionist and surrealist painter James Ensor. The reverse of the 139 x 76 mm paper banknote features a stylized bathing hut and a scene based on a painting by Ensor The Baths in Ostend. The banknotes security features include a registration device that reflects a seashell, a windowed security thread with a demetallized 100F, and a watermark that shows James Ensor and his signature.
