This uncirculated 2 Dollars Belize note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Belize. It is a violet, deep mauve, and blue note that is dated 2002, bear the signatures of Francis W. Fonseca, Joseph Waight, and Keith Arnold, and measures 140 x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the coat of arms, a jade head, a stela from Nim Li Punit (Kekchi for 'Big Hat') in the Toledo District, a school of queen triggerfish and queen angelfish, a carved Xunantunich arch in the Cayo District as a registration device, and Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Grand Duchess Vladimir’s tiara and Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee necklace. Its reverse side shows an arch, a keel-billed toucan, a Baird’s tapir, and the Maya ruins of Altun Ha in the Belize District, Xunantunich in the Cayo District, and Lubaantun in the Toledo District. Security features include a windowed security thread and a watermark of a carved head of the “sleeping giant”.
