The 2 Belizean dollar banknote has a see-through feature that forms the complete design of the carving of an arch in Xunantunich when held up to the light. The obverse side also features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing Grand Duchess Vladimirs tiara and Queen Victorias golden jubilee necklace and a vignette of the stela in Nim Li Punit (Ketchi for Big Hat) that depicts a Mayan offertory scene. The obverse also has an image of the jade head on the upper left corner and the silver fish at the lower left corner. The reverse side features three Mayan ruins: the Altun Ha in Belize District, the Xunantunich in Cayo District, and the Lubaantun in Toledo District. The reverse side also has an image of a keel-billed toucan and Bairds tapir in their natural habitat. The security features of the note are a windowed security thread with a demetalized BELIZE print, a watermark of the carved head of the sleeping giant and an electrotype watermark TWO. The note is 140 mm long and 70 mm wide.
