This uncirculated 2 Belizean Dollar note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Belize. It is a violet, deep mauve, and blue note that is dated 01 January 2017, bear the signatures of Glenford Ysaguirre, Joseph Waight, and Vanessa Retreage, and measures 140 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side contains a jade head, the stela from Nim Li Punit in the Toledo District, the Belizean arms, a school of queen triggerfish and queen angelfish, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in Queen Victoria’s golden jubilee necklace and Grand Duchess Vladimir’s tiara. Its reverse side contains an arch, a panel with a keel-billed toucan and Bairds tapir, and views of three Mayan Ruins: The Altun Ha in Belize District, the Xunantunich in Cayo District, and the Lubaantun in Toledo District. Security features include a carved Xunantunich arch registration device, a windowed security thread with demetallized BELIZE, a repeating serial number, and a watermark of a carved head of the “sleeping giant” with an electrotype TWO.
