The Bermuda 20 Dollars is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2009 in commemoration of the 40th year anniversary of the Bermuda Monetary Authority and the 400th anniversary of the countrys settlement by Sir George Somers who was a British explorer. This particular paper bill has been rated 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. On the obverse of the banknote are a whistling frog, a lizard, flowers, and Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse bears the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse in Southampton Parish, a flower, butterflies, and the Saint Marks church located in Smiths Parish. The 136 x 69 mm paper bill is vertical-oriented and has an Optiks security thread. Furthermore, it is signed by Alan Cossar and Anthony Joaquin. It also has a watermark which consists of a hibiscus flower, an electrotype sailboat, and Cornerstones.
