The Bhutan 5 Ngultrum replacement banknote was issued by the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan in 2015. The banknote comes in a combination of yellow, brown, and red. Featured on its obverse are offerings of sensory enjoyment DeyNga flanked by the mythical bird of long life bja Tshering. It also shows an embossed cloverleaf. The reverse of the note depicts a Paro Taktsang which is also known as the Taktsang Palphug Monastery or The Tiger’s Nest. The banknote bears a solid security thread. It is 125 x 60 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
