This uncirculated 50 Bhutanese ngultrum banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan in 1992. It is a violet and brown banknote that bears the signature of Ashi Sonam Choden Wangchuck and measures 155 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the royal emblem, the Khorlo (Wheel of Dharma), and the portrait of the 3rd king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Its reverse side depicts the Tongsa Dzong flanked by mythical birds of long life (bja tshering). Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark that shows a ROYAL MONETARY AUTHORITY pattern.
