King Charles III is now the King Monarch of the United Kingdom after his mother the late Queen Elizabeth II passed in late 2022. He was born at Buckingham Palace on 14 November 1948. Early Life & Education
He graduated from Cambridge University with a 2:2 degree in history and also anthropology. Prince Charles served in the Royal Navy from 1971 to 1976. He was a trainee pilot and also lieutenant, serving on board HMS Hermes, a light aircraft carrier. Since then, he has served as an ambassador for various organizations. He also held various positions on several boards including those related to science, conservationism, sportsmanship and charity work through which he raises money to support causes such as homelessness among veterans or healthcare research projects focused on rare diseases affecting children around Europe.
The history of King Charles III is long and storied. He is one of the highest ranking members of the royal family and has been for many years. His life has been filled with highs and lows, but he has always remained popular among his people despite any scandals that may have happened along the way.
New King Charles III Banknotes
On December 20, 2022 the Bank of England announced the long awaited news that many numismatists around the world had been waiting for. The new family of banknotes featuring King Charles III are set to begin circulating in 2024. They will circulate alongside the current ones which feature Elizabeth II. In addition, they will come in the same denominations in circulation today which are 5, 10, 20, 50 Pounds. The only change coming to the new banknotes is that the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is now being replaced with King Charles III. Other than that, the design will remain the same.
