Today he is honored in various ways from museums, and landmarks but, he has also been placed on a few coins. Let’s go over some coins featuring Edgar Allen Poe. In 2019 Niue, a small Island Nation in the South Pacific, which is known for their commemorative coins issued a golden 25 Dollars coin. The obverse side of the coin features an image of Raven in honor of Edgar Allen Poes “The Raven” in addition to an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse side features a portrait of Edgar Allen Poe.

The Following year Niue also released another coin in honor of Edgar Allen Poe. This one came in denomination $5 Dollars and was made of .999 silver. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. While the reverse side shows an image of a Raven in honor of Poe’s work with the same name and spooky skull. In addition to the text ”nevermore” which is also from his poem, The Raven.
