The Brazil 1 Cruzado Novo on 1,000 Cruzados Banknote is part of the 1989 provisional issues released by the Central Bank of Brazil. The note has a color combination of purple, orange, green, brown, and red. The obverse features writer Joaquim Maria Machado de Assis. It also has a black triangular 1 CRUZADO NOVO overprint. The reverse of the note depicts Rio de Janeiro, 1st March 1905 Street scene with buildings, church, trees, pedestrians, and horse-drawn trolleys. The banknote contains a solid security thread with printed BANCO CENTRAL DO BRASIL. It also has a watermark that reveals Machado de Assis and a registration device in the form of a quill and an an open book. The note measures 154 x 74 mm bears the signatures of Mailson Ferreira Da Nobrega and Elmo de Araujo Camoes. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
