Brazil 1 Centavo on 10 Cruzeiros Banknote, 1967 ND, P-183b, UNC

The Brazil 1 Centavo on 10 Cruzeiros Banknote comes from the 1966-1967 Provisional Cruzeiro Novo Issues which are similar to preceding issues, but with black circular overprints showing denominations in the new currency (centavos and cruzeiros novos). This banknote measures 157 x 67 mm and has shades of olive green, brown, and purple. The obverse side features 14th and 17th president, Getulio Dornelles Vargas wearing a bow tie. The reverse side shows an allegorical man kneeling and holding a metal shaft, and below it, the inscription UNIDADE NACIONAL which means national unity with factory buildings, smokestacks, and gears in the background.
