Brazil 10 Reais Banknote, 2010, P-254a, UNC

This 10 Brazilian reais banknote is part of the 2nd family of reais banknotes released in 2010. The obverse features the symbolic effigy of the head of Republica as it is interpreted as a sculpture, a tactile mark with two vertical lines on the lower right hand corner, and the denomination 10 printed with SPARK ink. The reverse side features the Ara chloroptera (Green-winged Macaw) both in its natural habitat and in flight as a pair. The note has a solid security thread with demetalized 10 REAIS, a watermark of the Macaw, and an electrotype watermark 10. The note is 135 mm long and 65 mm wide.
