This uncirculated 100 Brazilian cruzado novo note was introduced by the Central Bank of Brazil in 1989 and signed by Mailson Ferreira Da Nobrega and Elmode Araujo Camoes. It is an orange, green, purple, and brown note that measures 140 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side honors the poet Cecilia Benevides de Carvalho Meireles with her portrait and an excerpt of her work “Canticos”. Its reverse side depicts a child reading a book, stars and planets, and a couple dancing. Security features include a solid security thread, a stork registration device, and a Head of Republica watermark. The note was withdrawn from circulation in 1992. The details of this note have been verified and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
