The Brazil 2 Cruzeiros Banknote was issued by the Republic of the United States of Brazil between 1954 and 1958. Its obverse features Luiz Alves de Lima e Silva (Duque de Caxias) who was nicknamed “Iron Duke” and the “Peacemaker”. The reverse of the note features the Military School of Rezende in Rio de Janeiro. It is 157 x 67 mm in size and was printed by the American Bank Note Company. The note bears the signatures of Claudionor de Souza Lemos and Oswaldo Aranha. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
