Brazil 5 Cruzeiros Banknote, 1962-1964 ND, P-176a, UNC

The Brazil 5 Cruzeiros is one of the notes issued in 1962-1964 ND. On the center of the obverse is a stylized frame bearing a portrait of Jose Maria da Silva Paranhos who was the Viscount of Rio Branco, flanked with the denomination in numerals. The banknotes reverse details the Conquista do Amazonas which is a painting by Antonio Parreiras. Issued during the period of the Republic of the United States of Brazil, the banknote was printed by Thomas de la Rue & Company, Limited and is 157 x 67 mm in size. Additionally, it is predominantly in brown paper. This particular Brazil 5 Cruzeiros is in uncirculated condition.
