The Brazil 5 Cruzeiros was issued in 1962-1964 with a pick number P-176d. On the center of the banknotes obverse is a framed portrait of the Viscount of Rio Branco Jose Maria da Silva Paranhos who served as a journalist and educator of the Empire of Brazil. The denomination in numerals is also visible, flanking the stylized frame. The back of the note is an image of Antonio Parreiras painting depicting the Conquista do Amazonas. The banknote was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited which is based in London. It is 157 x 67 mm in size and is made of paper. This particular banknote comes in uncirculated condition. It has also been authenticated by the TAP authentication experts of Banknote World.
