This uncirculated Brazilian 50 Centavos on 500 Cruzeiros note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Brazil. It is a blue, green, yellow, purple, and orange note that bear the signatures of Octavio Gouvea de Bulhoes and Denio Chagas Nogueira, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features black circular BANCO CENTRAL 50 CENTAVOS overprint and Emperor Dom João VI wearing medals. Its reverse side shows ABERTURA DOS PORTOS (opening ports) represented by sailing ships at sea and seated allegorical Mercury wearing helmet with caduceus.
