The Brunei 1 Ringgit Banknote is part of the Brunei Currency Board’s 1996 issues printed on polymer. Featured on the obverse of this blue banknote is Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah wearing a uniform and a songkok headgear. It also features the coat of arms of Brunei and a riverside simpur (simpur gajah) flower. The banknote contains a shadow image watermark that reflects HB. It does not have a security thread. The note was printed by Note Printing Australia and is 141 x 69 mm in size. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
