The 2013 Brunei dollar, or ringgit Brunei in Malay, banknote is part of the first series of bank notes that the Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam issued. It is made of polymer and measures 141 mm by 69 mm. Though earlier versions of the note printed a Braille dot for the sight-impaired, later versions of the note embossed the dot instead. The obverse features Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah wearing the military uniform and a dastar headgear, and a Dillenia suffruticosa flower. The reverse side features an overview of Bandar Seri Begawan. The security features of the note are a flower registration device, a watermark of Sultan Bolkiah and a section of the mosque design, and a clear window of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque that changes color when viewed at different angles. When viewed under UV light, the serial numbers and background security patterns glow.
