This 20 Brunei ringgit note commemorates the 40th anniversary of the currency interchangeability between Singapore and Brunei in 2007. It is an orange polymer note that measures 149 mm x 72 mm, is dated 2007, and bears the signature of Sultan Haji Hassan al-Bokiah. Its obverse side shows a Tapak kuda lauf plant that symbolizes the interchangeability treaty and a portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah. Its reverse side features the Singapore esplanade, the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, and the national coat of arms of Singapore and Brunei. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a sultan and HB shadow image. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
