The 2007 20 Brunei ringgit note commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Currency Interchangeability Agreement between Brunei and Singapore. This orange polymer note measures 149 mm long and 72 mm wide. Its obverse side depicts the ipomoea pes-capre, the plant that symbolized the treaty, blooming beside Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah who is wearing a dastar headgear and the military uniform. Its reverse side features the coat of arms and significant landmarks from both Singapore (the esplanade and buildings along the islands waterfront) and Brunei (the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque, the Royal Barge, and the Water Village). The note does not have a security thread. However, it has a watermark of the Sultan and HB.
