Reviews:

The Bulgaria 1,000 Leva is part of the 1994 banknote series issued after the fall of the communist government. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. On its obverse is a portrait of Bulgarian revolutionary Vasil Levski. It also shows a rampant lion and the Liberated Bulgaria'' sculpture by Georgi Danchov depicting a standing allegorical woman carrying a flag and a sword with a lion. The reverse of the banknote bears the monument of Vasil Levski in Sophia. A pistol, a cross, and a dagger on a book are also featured. The 149 x 74 mm paper banknote has a solid security thread with a demetallized Bulgarian text. It also has a watermark that reflects Vasil Levski. Furthermore, the note is printed by Giesecke & Devrient and bears the signatures of Vulchev and Ivanov.
