Bulgaria 1,000 Leva Banknote, 1997, P-105a.2, UNC

This uncirculated 1,000 Bulgarian lev banknote was issued in 1997 by the Bulgarian National Bank and bore the signatures of Svetoslav Gavriiski and Lyuben Ivanov. It was designed by Kiriil Gogov and was withdrawn in 1999. Its obverse side honors the Bulgarian revolutionary Vasil Levski and Georgi Danchov’s Liberated Bulgaria which portrays a standing woman warrior holding a flag and a sword with a lion. Its reverse side shows the Vasil Levski Monument in Sofia. Security features include a holographic stripe, a solid security thread with demetalized Cyrillic text, and a watermark of Vasil Levski. Its dimensions are 149 mm x 74 mm.
