This uncirculated 20 Bulgarian lev note is dated 1991 and signed by Todor Vulchev and Lyuben Ivanov. The note is part of the first series of banknotes issued by the Bulgarian National Bank after the fall of the communist regime and was designed by Antonii Ivanov. It is a blue, pink, and orange note that measures 119 mm long and 59 mm wide. It was withdrawn from circulation in 1998. Its obverse side features a fragment of a fresco and the Bulgarian church founder Dutchess Sevastokrat Ortiza Desislava. Its reverse side features the Boyana Church in Sofia. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized Cyrillic text and a rampant lion watermark.
