This uncirculated 5 Bulgarian lev banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bulgarian National Bank. It is a red and blue banknote that is dated 2009, bear the signatures of Ivan Iskrov and Stefan Tzvetkov, and measures 121 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side honors the artist Ivan Milev with his portrait, a detail from Milev’s painting Art and the Crown of Thorns, and a poster promoting Milev’s first 1925 exhibition in Sofia. Its reverse side depicts scenes from Milev’s paintings, A Woman Harvesting, The Bulgarian Madonna, and Wedding of the Dragon. Security features include a holographic stripe, a windowed security thread with a demetalized BNB in Cyrillic text and 5, and a watermark of Ivan Milev and an electrotype BNB in Cyrillic text. The note was designed by Kiril Gogov. The details of the note have been verified and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
