The Burundi 2,000 Francs is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2015 with a pick number P-52.1. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Its obverse features pineapple plants, a green-to-gold Optically Variable Ink with an embossed BRB, the countrys emblem, and a leaping Roan antelope. The back of the banknote depicts farmers in a field enclosed with a map outline of Burundi. The bank logo is also featured on the reverse. The Burundi 2,000 Francs bears a fish as its registration device. It also has a pearlescent stripe with vertical 2000 on its front and a pearlescent overprint with a flag and 2000 / BRB on its reverse. The 120 x 60 mm paper bill has a windowed holographic security thread with a demetalized head of a heifer, stars, and the banks initials. Furthermore, it is designed with a watermark that reflects Prince Louis Rwagasore and an electrotype BRB.
