The Burundi 5,000 Francs is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2011 with an added watermark element. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Its obverse side depicts the Parliament House situated in Bujumbura, a cattle head holographic patch, and the national emblem. On its reverse side are ships, cranes, and a building dock. Security features of the 145 x 73 mm paper banknote includes a windowed security thread with a demetallized BRB and a watermark which reflects an image of a cattle.
