This uncirculated 5,000 Burundi franc banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of the Republic of Burundi. It is a light blue banknote that is dated 04 July 2018, bear the signatures of Jean Gaspard Ciza and Melchior Wagara, and measures 138 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side shows a cape buffalo, the national coat of arms, dancers with drums on their heads, a flag, a shield, and a green-to-gold OVI basket with an embossed BRB. Its reverse side depicts a man walking on a road through a forested mountain, an outline map of Burundi, and the bank logo. Security features include a pearlescent stripe with a vertical 5000, a pearlescent overprint with a flag and 5000/BRB, a windowed security thread with a demetalized head of a heifer, stars, and BRB, a fish registration device, and a watermark of President Melchior Ndadaye with an electrotype BRB.
