The Burundi 500 Francs is part of the family of notes issued in 2013 with a pick number P-45c. This particular note is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty. On its reverse are trees, a cauldron, and a sculpture of natives. The reverse of the banknote depicts a palm tree beside the Banque de la Republique du Burundi building in Bujumbura. The national emblem is also shown on the right of the reverse. The banknote which is 132 x 67 mm in size bears a windowed security thread with a demetallized BRB and a watermark which reflects a cattle.
