Burundi 500 Francs Banknote, 2015, P-50a.1, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Burundi 500 Francs is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2015 with enhanced security features. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. The obverse a coffee plant branch with berries, a crocodile, a flag, and the countrys Coat of Arms. It also bears a fish as its registration device and a cattle head below a latent BRB. On its reverse, a boat on the water is displayed in a map outline of Burundi. The reverse also depicts a fish and the Banque de la Republique du Burundi logo. Security features of the 120 x 60 mm paper bill include a pearlescent stripe on the obverse with a vertical 500, a pearlescent overprint on the reverse with a flag, and 500 / BRB. It also has a windowed holographic security thread with a demetallized head of a heifer, stars, and BRB. Furthermore, it bears a watermark which consists of Prince Louis Rwagasore and an electrotype BRB.
