Burundi 500 Francs Banknote, 2018, P-50a.2, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Burundi 500 Franc Banknote was issued by the Bank of the Republic of Burundi in 2018. On the obverse of this orange banknote are a crocodile, the coat of arms of Burundi, a coffee plant branch with berries, a flag, and a cattle’s head below a latent BRB. The reverse of the note depicts a map outline, a boat sailing on the water, a fish, and the bank logo. Security features of the note include a pearlescent stripe on the obverse with a vertical 500, a pearlescent overprint on the reverse with a flag and 500 / BRB, a windowed holographic security thread with a demetallized head of a heifer, stars, and BRB. It also contains a fish registration device and a watermark that reveals Prince Louis Rwagasore and an electrotype BRB. The note is 120 x 60 mm in size and is signed by Annonciata Sendazirasa. It is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
