The 2001 Cambodia 100 Riels was issued by the National Bank of Cambodia with a pick number P-53a. The banknotes obverse depicts the mythical snake Naga and the Independence Monument which was established in Phnom Penh in 1958. The reverse of the note illustrates children outside a school building. The banknote has a watermark that reflects a Khmer text as its security attribute. The Cambodia 100 Riels is 130 x 60 mm in size and is made of paper. It is signed by the NBC governor Chea Chanto and general cashier Tieng Seng. The banknote has purple and green color combinations. It has Khmer text on its front and English and Khmer text on its back. This particular paper banknote has been given a grade of 68 by the Professional Coin Grading Service.
