The Cambodia 2,000 Riels with a pick number P-59a was issued by the National Bank of Cambodia in 2007. It is designed with green, black, and yellow color combinations. Its obverse depicts the Portal at the Preah Vihear temple and a mythological serpent known as Naga. The reverse of the 146 x 68 mm paper banknote illustrates farmers harvesting rice. Palm trees and the Angkor Wat temple are also visible in the background. The banknote has a solid security thread with a demetalized *NBC* and a Bayon sculpture watermark. Additionally, it carries the signatures of the National Bank of Cambodia Governor Chea Chanto and General Cashier Tha Yao.
