This copper-nickel medallion from Cambodia commemorates the 1953 Independence Day when Cambodia separated from its French colonizers. One side of the coin showcases a replica of the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh. The other side of the coin bears the royal arms of Cambodia with a colored picture of King Norodom Sihanouk.
