The Cambodia 50 Riels was released in 2002 by the National Bank of Cambodia with a pick number P-52c. The specimen paper bill is designed with brown and gold colors. Presented in Khmer text, the banknotes obverse side depicts the Banteay Srei Temple, a sculpture of Norak Singha, and a mythical serpent known as Naga. The reverse of the banknote is in English and Khmer text and features the Tek Thla bridge which is built on the National Road Number 3. Although the banknote has no security thread, it has a Khmer text watermark as its security feature. The Cambodia 50 Riels is 130 x 60 mm in size. This particular bill is of exceptional paper quality and has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
