The Cambodia 500 Riels Banknote was issued by the National Bank of Cambodia in 1996. It comes in a color combination of red and purple. The obverse features the Angkor Wat and the coat of arms of Cambodia. The reverse of the note features an animal sculpture, a tree, and two tractors. It also features workers in a rice paddy with palm trees. The banknote does not have a security thread but bears a watermark that reflects a lotus flower pattern. It is 133 x 62 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
