Reviews:

The Canada 5 Dollar is part of the Canadian Journey issues released in 2010 by the Bank of Canada. The obverse of the banknote features Wilfrid Laurier who served as the country's 7th Prime Minister. The West Block of the Parliament located in Ottawa is also shown in the background. Other notable elements featured on the front are the Coat of Arms and the Canadian flag. The banknote's reverse displays a child riding a toboggan, a child and an adult skating, and four children playing hockey on a frozen lake. It also portrays snowflakes and an excerpt from "Le Chandail de Hockey" by Rich Carrier and its adaptation in English "The Hockey Sweater" by Sheila Fischman. The 152 x 70 mm paper bill bears a holographic stripe and windowed security that shifts from gold to green with a demetalized 5 CAN. The banknote also has an image of Wilfrid Laurier and an electrotype 5 for its watermark. This Canada 5 Dollars is in uncirculated condition. It is also certified authentic by the Banknote World's TAP authentication program.
