Reviews:

The Canada 5 Dollars issued by the Bank of Canada is part of the Canadian Journey series which bears new security attributes. This banknote that comes in uncirculated condition features the countrys emblem and Canadas 7th Prime Minister, Wilfrid Laurier in a suit. The flag of Canada and the West wing of the Parliament building in Ottawa are also depicted on the front of the banknote. On the reverse are snowflakes, a child riding on a toboggan, and a child and an adult skating. It also features four children playing hockey on a frozen lake, and an extract from Le Chandail de Hockey by Roch Carrier as well as The Hockey Sweater which is its English adaptation by Sheila Fischman. The 152 x 70 mm paper bill has a holographic stripe and a gold-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized 5 CAN. Its watermark reflects a portrait of Wilfrid Laurier and an electrotype 5 when held up to a light source. It also carries the signatures of W. Paul Jenkins and David Allison Dodge.
