The Canada 5 Dollars issued in 1986 is part of the Birds of Canada series. It is in uncirculated condition and boasts a radar serial number ANT3885883 which reads the same forwards as it is backwards. The banknotes front bears a portrait of Wilfrid Laurier who was a statesman and the 7th Prime Minister of the country. The Parliament buildings nestled in Ottawa and the nations emblem are also presented on the obverse. The back of the banknote illustrates a belted kingfisher known as Martin-pecheur perched on a tree branch overlooking a swamp. The 152 x 70 mm paper banknote has no security thread and watermarks but carries the signatures of Malcom Knight and David Allison Dodge.
