Reviews:

The Canada 50 Dollar banknote is one of the Polymer Issues released in 2012 by the Bank of Canada to address the tremendous increase of the counterfeiting rate in the country. The obverse features the 10th prime minister William Lyon Mackenzie King in a suit. The reverse depicts the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Amundsen and an Arctic research icebreaker named Arctic in Inuktitut. A compass and the mad of Canada are also visible. A maple leaf is also shown on both the obverse and the reverse sides. The banknote bears a holographic stripe showing William Lyon Mackenzie and the tower of the Centre Block of the Parliament in Ottawa. Although the 152 x 70 mm banknote doesnt have a security thread and watermarks, it is resistant to counterfeiting and forgery with its polymer substrate component. This particular Canada 50 Dollars is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
