The Cape Verde 1,000 Escudos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Cape Verde in 1977. Its obverse features an electric lamp in the shape of a plant. It also features the coat of arms of Cape Verde, a pano cloth pattern, and a portrait of Amilcar Cabral. The reverse depicts men in a cornfield howling a rock atop a wall with ropes and wooden poles. It also displays a banana stalk. The note contains a solid security thread. Its watermark reveals Amilcar Cabral. The green note is 152 x 76 mm in size and is signed by Corentino Virgilio Santos and Amaro Alexandre da Luz. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
